ABOUT ME
I've played electric bass since I was 14 (which was quite a while ago) in a variety of bands from punk, power pop and singer-songwriter to bluegrass and contra dance music.

When our Irish Traditional music session lost its guitarist 9 years ago, I bought the guitar on Wednesday and was playing it in public on Saturday. DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!

Haven't been here in a while - whacky personal life and day job rubbish caused temporary musical paralysis. I'm back and aggressively persuing new musical angles.

What up, Dawg?

I'm auditioning players for the next EP tonight.  I'm tired fo doing all the tracks myself.

Cool!

It'll be interesting to hear. Yeah, it's a hassle not to have a band. I have my band in a box, it's ok but nothing compared to real cats...

Working on something based on 'Misty', such a lovely tune. And working with I-VI-II-V patterns and subs to do something based on 'Breezin' as well. That's also a great tune i love. One pro with being bachelor again is to sleep til 10 every morning (jobless), and play all day, so it's not all bad. But I hate wintertime. It's cold and dark for 4 months, waiting for spring to come, smoking down the track, as Dylan said...

Hope all goes well with your tunes, waiting to hear them!

Peace

I fondly recall the days of my youth, me and the pals had a favourite Irish band, the Dubliners, I think there was a lot of folk style in their music too. And a friend from Ireland introduced a teen rocker to one of the greatest voices I've ever heard, Van Morrison, and he plays a load of instruments too, a real multi talented guy, that's for sure.

Peace

Skei (recalling his Irish pals with pleasure)

Love the jigs and reels. I actually played bass for a while in an Irish band up in Boston years ago. We were called Widershins, and we played every year for the week surrounding St. Patrick's Day at all kinds of events, including a bar where I had to lift the neck of my bass to let guys in and out of the men's room.

Good stuff - thanks.
