Friends,
Our own Chris Standring, who tends to be a bit classy and reserved when it comes to tooting his own horn, is releasing his latest album Blue Bolero on March 2nd, and to celebrate, there's a party goin' on .. Thursday March 4th .. ![]()
I want to encourage each of you, if you happen to be in the Los Angeles area at that time, to make the effort to be there. I had the privilege of hearing Chris and the orchestra (including full string section) do Blue Bolero live this past year .. and it's a not-to-be-missed event.
The Baked Potato is easy to find in Studio City, and it's a venue that's as intimate as can be found nowadays .. no seat is more than 3 rows from the stage !
Blue Bolero is an album that will change the way we think of contemporary jazz .. and to hear Chris perform it live is a once-in-a-lifetime thing .. and we hope to see you there!
Best regards,
Mark
