I hope you've had a productive week, and are enjoying a well-deserved, relaxing weekend ..

Our newest SoundTraxx, for the week of 01 March, is the perfect formula to get that new week in gear, with appearances from Blake Aaron, The Rippingtons, Paul Hardcastle, Ramsey Lewis, Jackiem Joyner, Larry Carlton, Diana Krall, and Soul Ballet ..

We wrap up our discussion with Chris Standring, all about his latest album Blue Bolero, which, we're quite excited to say, is finally available this week!  We'll finish up our multi-week series with Chris by playing two tracks off the album, just to kick things off in style, and encourage you to be among the first to obtain your own copy.

Out of the JazzMatrix, we have another great track off "Electronova," from our own Homeless Balloon ..

Our own Chris Standring, who tends to be a bit classy and reserved when it comes to tooting his own horn, is releasing his latest album Blue Bolero on March 2nd, and to celebrate, there's a party goin' on .. Thursday March 4th ..

I want to encourage each of you, if you happen to be in the Los Angeles area at that time, to make the effort to be there. I had the privilege of hearing Chris and the orchestra (including full string section) do Blue Bolero live this past year .. and it's a not-to-be-missed event.

The Baked Potato is easy to find in Studio City, and it's a venue that's as intimate as can be found nowadays .. no seat is more than 3 rows from the stage !

Blue Bolero is an album that will change the way we think of contemporary jazz .. and to hear Chris perform it live is a once-in-a-lifetime thing .. and we hope to see you there!
